Position Overview:
- We are looking for a Wire Harness / Electrical Assembly Technician (R&D & Document Control) to join our expanding team. In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including BOMs, cut-lists, part lists, work instructions, and travelers.
- Create first articles, prototypes, and in-house samples for new and existing projects.
- Manage revision control, document updates, and reverse engineering.
- Research parts, tools, and materials online to support projects.
- Support R&D initiatives and collaborate with engineering, sales, and management.
- Work independently with the ability to report effectively to leadership.
- This is a hands-on, technical role with opportunities for growth into engineering and R&D support.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, engineering orders, and BOMs.
Build wire harnesses and cable assemblies from schematics and engineering instructions.
Create and maintain assembly instructions and pegboards for production teams.
Use CAD or wire harness drawing software to update or create assemblies (a plus).
Operate and calibrate crimping, wire cutting, and stripping machines.
Safely use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools in electrical assembly.
Maintain safety awareness and follow quality standards.
Communicate effectively, problem solve, and support multiple projects at once.
Qualifications:
2 years of electronics/electrical assembly experience required (5 years preferred).
Technical certification or equivalent hands-on experience (college internship experience also considered).
Knowledge of wire harness assembly, cable routing, and documentation control.
Familiarity with CAD or wire harness drawing programs is highly valued.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Fluent in technical English (Spanish a plus).
Must be a self-starter who can work both independently and in a team.
Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time | Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay is based on experience.
