Position Overview
AMS Management Group, an agent for Physician Professional Liability companies, is currently seeking a Billing & Accounting Specialist to administer in-house premium financing for physician clients, including setting up selected payment plan option in system and invoicing physician clients.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
· Journal Entries into system for any assessed capital contribution
· Maintain client accounts, coordinate payment arrangements to ensure coverage does not lapse for non-payment
· Contact clients for outstanding receivables
· Prepare “Notices of Intent to Cancel,” and “Cancellation Notifications” for non-payment
· Facilitate any return premiums due, and invoice for additional premiums owed, resulting from policy endorsements and/or cancellations
· Generate Cash Transaction report from system
· Assist in any audit or reconciliation reporting requirements
· Track and collect any deductibles
· Assists with on-going system up-grades, data conversion and reconciliation
· Assists with ad hoc new projects (i.e.: audit requests, data conversion, reports)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Active CPA license
- 3 years of progressive financial management experience, ideally in insurance or financial services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
