Job Posting: Shop Assistant
Hourly Rate: $18-$22/hour
Reports to: Shop Manager
Location: Nashville, TN

Located in our beautiful Nashville, TN facility and reporting to the Shop Manager, the Shop Assistant will support shop operations by assisting the team with all shop related tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general assistance around the shop, including administrative and technical tasks
- Assist with shop loading and jobsite preparation
- Load and unload delivery trucks
- Clean and maintain equipment as directed
- Assist project managers and shop supervisor.
- Operate equipment such as forklift
- Receive, unpack, and arrange new shipments from suppliers and vendors
- Arranging and labelling goods
- Receive/unload trucks and correctly identifies and stores materials in proper locations
- Pick material from inventory to fulfill orders for projects
- Clean and organize shop for efficient workflow
- Drive company trucks to job sites and delivers material
- Assist in job site pick-ups/clean ups
- Maintain a good driving record and obeys traffic laws in company vehicles
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in inventory software, computer systems, and barcode scanners.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy items (typically up to 50 lbs), and stand for long periods.
- High attention to detail for tracking, recording, and verifying data.
- Experience with, or ability to learn, forklifts, pallet jacks, and shipping tools.
