About The Role

The Sales Representative will champion and lead the development of “out-of-the-box” and non-traditional business solutions. Establishes and maintains positive customer relations with potential and current customers to grow the business. Ensures quality and consistency of service and/or product delivery that meets the customer’s needs.

He/she will work closely with the Sales Manager to ensure Sales goals assigned are achieved, including but not limited to growth of volume, ASP, market share, etc. General Manager, and Operations to ensure alignment of the projects while identifying necessary resources to deliver on chosen solutions. He/she will manage such projects from inception to completion, using internal resources for larger projects.

What You'll Accomplish

  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Plans and schedules visits to existing accounts in assigned territory per timeframe set by the department; suggests products for account to order, and facilitates problems to be corrected; establishes and maintains rapport with accounts and client publishers in order to continue a positive business relationship for the department.
  • Prepares action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project number of contacts to be made; follows up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • Attends operational sales meetings and participates in strategic planning for the enterprise. Represents the department at regional and national industry conferences and trade exhibits.
  • Develops and supervises the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials; works with marketing staff to develop and produce specialty sale materials as needed.
  • Oversees new and existing account services through quality checks and other follow-up as specified per department requirements; identifies and resolves client concerns.
  • Prepares a variety of status reports, including trends in territory, upcoming events, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals; reports on special developments, information, concerns or feedback gathered through field activity.
  • Addresses and resolves customer service inquiries, requests and complaints.

Additional Requirements

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

What We're Looking For

Education: Bachelor's degree or 3 years of equivalent experience.

  • Previous experience in outside sales within the building materials industry preferred.
  • Direct experience building a customer base, ensuring product delivery, and success building and maintaining relationships both internally and externally.
