FOOD RUNNER (EXPEDITOR )

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and attentive Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team! Duties

• Deliver hot and cold dishes from the kitchen to tables efficiently, maintaining food quality and presentation standards
• Assist servers by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables for new guests
• Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to safety and sanitation standards to promote guest health and safety
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to relay special requests or modifications
• Support food preparation tasks when needed, including plating or garnishing under chef supervision
• Maintain cleanliness in service areas, including clearing trays and organizing utensils and condiments
• Provide exceptional guest service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring their needs are met promptly

Skills

• Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation practices
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen staff and servers
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS / Micros POS or Toast for order accuracy
• Experience with banquet service, catering, or hotel food operations is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and basic cooking skills is beneficial
• Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly, positive attitude
• Ability to multitask effectively while staying organized under pressure
• Understanding of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices in hospitality settings
