Prosthetic Clinic-Patient Services Representative
This role is responsible for maintaining proper care coordination and continuity of care as well as assisting with day-to-day operations of a busy Prosthetic clinic.
Responsibilities:
● Greet patients
● Registration of new patients
● Answer phone calls
● Schedule appointments
● Collect patient payments
● Verify insurance cards and obtain authorizations when necessary
● Act as a representative of the clinic to offices who frequently have questions, concerns, or new needs for the patients that they refer.
● Assist with clinic social media platforms
● Distribute patient materials, referrals tools and new packets to referring practices. Maintains appropriate inventories of marketing materials
● Communicate with hospitals, nursing homes, rehab, etc. to ensure proper distribution of post op prosthetic services, as well as assist in preparation of inservices and other educational materials as well as obtain needed documentation.
● Fulfill requests as it relates to patients care
● Assist with the Composition of promotional items
● Assist with patient management and related tasks. Review regularly with the clinical team.
● Collaborate with clinical team on Patient Retention Initiatives
● Some travel to other healthcare facilities in the surrounding area and/or local events may be required
● Assist with cleaning up clinic areas and other related tasks
● Maintain positive and effective work relationships
● Other duties as delegated
Qualifications/Skills
● Excellent customer service skills
● Communicate professionally and effectively to patients in person and over the phone
● Great organizational skills
● Proficient Computer knowledge including Practice Management Software experience
● Must be able to multitask
● High school or equivalent education and/or Associates Degree required
● Some experience in medical clinic setting required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 per week
Work Location: In person
