We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering (QE) Engineer with strong expertise in Performance Testing, Apache Kafka, and Point of Sale (POS) Testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating high-volume transaction systems, ensuring application scalability, testing event-driven architectures, and maintaining the quality of retail POS applications across multiple environments.

The candidate should have experience designing automated performance test frameworks, validating Kafka-based messaging systems, and testing retail POS applications integrated with payment gateways, inventory management, and backend services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies for enterprise applications.

• Perform end-to-end functional, integration, regression, and system testing.

• Develop and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.

• Analyze application performance bottlenecks and provide optimization recommendations.

• Validate Apache Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, offsets, and message integrity.

• Test real-time event-driven applications and asynchronous messaging workflows.

• Perform POS testing covering sales, returns, exchanges, promotions, discounts, coupons, loyalty, and payment processing.

• Validate payment integrations including credit/debit cards, EMV, NFC, mobile wallets, and gift cards.

• Test integrations between POS systems, inventory, pricing, CRM, ERP, and payment gateways.

• Create automated test scripts for functional and API testing.

• Perform API testing using REST and SOAP services.

• Execute database validation using SQL queries.

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, DevOps, and product teams to resolve defects.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

• Maintain test plans, test cases, defect reports, and test execution reports.

• Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests into build and deployment processes.

• Ensure quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle.
