The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient movement, inspection, and inventory control of raw materials and work-in-process (WIP) throughout the manufacturing facility. This role supports production by ensuring work centers are fully stocked, inventory is accurate, and materials are properly received, tracked, and staged.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload incoming material trucks and verify shipments against documentation
- Perform receiving inspections for all raw materials to ensure quality and accuracy
- Accurately enter and complete inventory transactions in the Sage ERP system
- Pull raw materials as required and maintain adequate stock levels at all work centers
- Maintain accountability for raw material inventory accuracy
- Assemble kits for weld and final assembly operations
- Move WIP inventory between work centers as production schedules allow
- Follow all safety, quality, and inventory control procedures
- Support continuous improvement and warehouse organization initiatives
Qualifications
- Prior material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience with ERP systems (Sage ERP preferred)
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely
- Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
