Amplify Energy Corp. is an upstream company focused on the acquisition, production and development of oil and gas properties in the United States. Amplify Energy is currently seeking an experienced and skilled Oil and Gas Rig Mechanic to join our Beta Offshore. This position is located in Federal waters, off the coast of Long Beach, California. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on well service rig machinery and equipment.Knowledge of diesel-powered systems.Servicing and repairing electrical and hydraulic components on an offshore oil platform.Troubleshoot mechanical issues and conduct necessary repairs using various tools.Inspect equipment for wear and tear, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.Collaborate with other mechanics and operators to ensure efficient operation of well service rigs.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.Assist in the installation of new equipment as needed.Complete a thorough shift change over report for next crew.Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with company policies and industry standards.QualificationsProven experience as a mechanic, preferably in the oilfield industry.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Proficiency in using diagnostic tools.Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.Knowledge, Skill and Experience:Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school5 years offshore mechanic experience on a production platformRelated training or certifications in mechanical systems,Ability to read, write and speak in English and perform basic math quickly and accurately.
