Electrical & Instrumentation Technician
Amplify Energy Corp. is an upstream company focused on the acquisition, production, and development of oil and gas properties in the United States. Our properties consist of mature, legacy oil and natural gas fields. We are focused on maintaining production across our high-quality asset base and executing our strategic priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proper electrical and safety installation practices with new installation of gas processing & measurement equipment
- Ability to adjust PID tuning parameters to maintain proper process control of gas processing / water handling / temperature controlling equipment
- Configures variable frequency drives to provide better process control to aid operations
- Ability to calibrate flow measurement equipment to ensure proper operations
- Ability to calibrate and maintain safety shutdown control equipment
- Assist in ensuring all aspects of operations are in compliance with government regulations and Amplify Energy policies
- Understanding of Fail-Safe wiring practices and fail-safe programming logic
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of oil and gas experience, Co-op electronic classes, associate’s degree, or journeyman electrician
- Mechanical or instrumentation background helpful but not required
- General understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Thoroughly understands pressure, level, and flow
- Familiarity of the National Electrical code and API recommended installation requirements
- Understand electrical operations of end-devices and how they are used in the oil and gas industry
- ISA and/or gas measurement certifications recommended
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated problem solving ability applicable to various hardware and software as well as troubleshooting
- Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships
- Computer proficiency and the ability to learn company specific computer applications
Working Conditions:
- Field and plant environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, hazardous chemicals, and equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Rotating on-call responsibilities and availability for after-hours or emergency support.
