About the Role
The Investor Relations Specialist is responsible for communication and relationship management with investors across venture capital, private equity, and real estate private equity. This role directly supports our investor community, Growth Circle, with a primary focus on retention, engagement, education, and delivering a high-quality experience for every member.
You will manage investor onboarding, conduct ongoing quality check-ins, answer investment-related questions, and ensure each investor feels supported, informed, and confident throughout the entire investment process. The ideal candidate has direct experience in raising capital or managing LP relationships in private markets and can clearly explain complex concepts in simple, practical language.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead onboarding for new members: welcome calls, process walkthroughs, expectations, and FAQs.
- Conduct ongoing retention touchpoints (calls, emails, check-ins) to ensure investors feel supported and stay active in the community.
- Answer investor questions on:
- Deal structures, fund terms, and timelines (at a high level)
- Capital calls, distributions, and reporting
- Basic tax-related considerations for private investments (advantages at a high level – not tax advice)
- Coordinate with internal teams on:
- Deal launches, updates, and investor communications
- Ensuring investor feedback is captured and acted on
- Support investor education through:
- Webinars, Q&A sessions, simple breakdowns of structures and strategies
- Curated resources and follow-up materials
- Track and report on retention and engagement metrics (renewals, churn, touchpoints, event participation).
- Maintain accurate investor records and communication history in our CRM and systems.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in investor relations, capital raising, private wealth, or private markets (e.g., private equity, venture capital, real estate private equity, or similar).
- Direct exposure to LP/GP dynamics and private investment structures (funds, SPVs, syndications, etc.).
Ability to explain:
- High-level fund and deal structures
- Basic tax advantages and considerations related to private investments (no formal tax advice required, just conceptual clarity).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable on Zoom, phone, and in writing.
- Proven track record of relationship management, client retention, or community management with measurable outcomes.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage a book of relationships without dropping balls.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with accredited investors, family offices, RIAs, or high-net-worth individuals.
- Background in private equity, venture capital, or real estate private equity specifically.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, investor portals, and digital communication platforms.
