As a Project Manager at Ampirical, you’ll manage high-stakes, high-voltage Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects with a focus on excellence. You'll lead multi-discipline engineering projects, ensuring timely, on-budget completion while upholding our Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) guidelines. Working with talented engineers, sub-contractors, and clients, you’ll be at the forefront of designing and delivering innovative power solutions.

Your Role: EPC Project Manager
As a Project Manager at Ampirical, you’ll manage high-stakes, high-voltage Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects with a focus on excellence. You'll lead multi-discipline engineering projects, ensuring timely, on-budget completion while upholding our Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) guidelines. Working with talented engineers, sub-contractors, and clients, you’ll be at the forefront of designing and delivering innovative power solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Managing the full project life cycle, including safety, scope, schedule, budget, and risk for complex EPC Substation, Protection & Controls (P&C), or Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Line projects
- Overseeing project designs, Bill of Materials (BOM), equipment specifications, and construction requirements
- Collaborating with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to drive project milestones
- Leading the development of project proposals, schedules, and material lists
- Providing project performance updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring high-quality deliverables by conducting engineering work reviews
- Traveling to client sites and vendor facilities to ensure alignment on project goals
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (in lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of relevant work experience in Utility Design, Project Management, or Utility Engineering)
- Experience managing EPC Substation, Protection & Controls (P&C), or Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Line projects
- Expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for cost/schedule reporting
- A strong leader with advanced organizational skills to manage multiple complex projects
- A skilled communicator capable of leading cross-functional teams and engaging stakeholders
- Knowledge of utility engineering practices with an emphasis on Transmission/Substation design and critical path method scheduling
