What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Set up position at Amphenol Sensors?
ABOUT THE ROLE The machine set up job exists primarily to perform necessary operations from resistance OK through finish pack processes to manufacture Thermistors to designed specifications.
LOCATION Onsite at our St Marys, PA location
What You Will Do
Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without accommodations Efficiently/safely set up/operate equipment Read/understand/follow appropriate procedures/process sheets to complete assigned tasks Manufacture quality product through effective use of process/product measuring equipment and interpret results Record/maintain applicable product/process information Provide active input for continuous process improvement Effectively communicate information to co-workers/management Work effectively with other functional areas to guarantee quality product Provide assistance in writing new/revising old procedure/process sheets Notify supervisor whenever procedures/process sheets cannot be followed as written Perform adjustments and preventative maintenance on equipment/tools in a timely manner and accurately maintain records of maintenance to maintain control conditions. Assist with preventative maintenance. Notify maintenance for repairs when necessary Able to perform tableworker tasks Notify supervisor when additional training is necessary if operators fail to follow instructions/procedures Understand/apply SPC fundamentals
What We Are Looking For
High school diploma, analytical aptitude w/mathematics/decimals/fractions/percentages & averages, ability to draft process/product documentation, read/understand written documents and effective written/verbal communications. At least 1 year in a manufacturing environment setting up equipment preferred
