You will drive initiatives such as supplier transitions, material risk mitigation, inventory strategies, and supply chain readiness for new product introductions (NPI), capacity expansions, and manufacturing transfers. You will operate at the intersection of planning, procurement, operations, and logistics, ensuring the right materials are available at the right time, cost, and quality to support business objectives. Major Job Responsibilities Lead Supply Chain Programs Own end-to-end execution of materials-focused programs from concept through production ramp
Lead supply chain readiness for new product introductions (NPI) and operational changes
Serve as the primary interface for internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers on material readiness Drive Materials & Supply Chain Readiness Develop and execute material readiness plans for new launches and transfers
Ensure: Supplier qualification and onboarding
Bill of Material (BOM) validation and sourcing strategy
Capacity alignment across suppliers
Long-lead item management Mitigate supply risks through dual sourcing, safety stock strategies, and alternate materials Manage Supplier Transitions & Sourcing Initiatives Lead supplier transfers, onboarding, and exit strategies
Coordinate global sourcing initiatives to optimize cost, lead time, and supply continuity
Partner with procurement to develop strategic supplier relationships and contracts Support Operational & Network Transitions Lead supply chain execution for: Plant transfers and consolidations
Capacity expansions
Make vs. buy decisions Align inventory positioning, logistics flows, and supplier networks
Develop cutover plans that minimize disruption and maintain customer service levels Plan, Track, and Deliver Results Build and manage: Program timelines
Material readiness milestones
Inventory and procurement budgets Track key Program KPIs
Manage risks, scope changes, and priorities across multiple programs Collaborate & Influence Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain Communicate supply risks, mitigation plans, and KPIs to leadership
Drive accountability across a global, matrixed organization Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or Business
5 years of program/project management experience in manufacturing or supply chain environments Proven experience in: Supply chain readiness for NPI
Supplier management and sourcing strategies
Inventory planning and materials management
Manufacturing transfers or network changes Strong understanding of: MRP / ERP systems
Demand and supply planning
Procurement and logistics processes Experience in connectors, cable assemblies, or similar industries preferred PMP, APICS (CPIM/CSCP), or equivalent certification preferred Lean / Six Sigma experience a plus Core Competencies Strong supply chain and materials strategy mindset
