SUMMARY
The Fiber Optics / Copper Account Manager is responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets within an assigned territory. The Fiber Optics / Copper Account Manager will sell products and services offered by the company to current and new clientele.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with the telecommunications market.
· Communicating with customers leads to identifying and understand their product or service needs.
· Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
· Promote and sell fiber optic and copper telecom solutions to business, contractors, and service providers.
· Conduct in-person sales meetings, product presentations, and site visits with prospective clients.
· Maintain an active sales pipeline and forecast opportunities.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
· 3-5 years of outside sales experience in the telecommunications industry.
· Proven experience selling fiber optic and copper network solutions.
· Strong understanding of telecom infrastructure and connectivity solutions.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
· Effective cross-functional communication skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
· Valid driver’s license.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field.
· Relevant industry certifications or technical training in fiber optics, telecommunications.
· Familiarity with fiber network deployment and telecom carriers.
· Strong understanding of fiber optics infrastructure, structured cabling and copper solutions.
· Equivalent combination of education and relevant sales experience will also be considered.
