Materials Management Intern

Reporting to: Planning and Purchasing

Position Overview:
The Materials Management Intern will support the Materials and Supply Chain team by assisting with data accuracy, inventory analysis, purchasing activities, and production tracking. This role provides hands-on exposure to materials planning, procurement, and operational analysis.

Projects & Responsibilities:

• Continue the project of updating purchase part descriptions in EVO, with a focus on standardization, commonality, and consistency
• Research and compile Country of Origin (COO) information for existing parts, including HTS codes and supporting documentation, to support tariff mitigation efforts
• Assist with new part setup procedures, ensuring accurate and complete system entries
• Conduct inventory analysis and provide recommendations for Reorder Levels (ROL) and Reorder Amounts (ROA), focusing on one to two product lines
• Execute purchase orders under the guidance of the Materials team
• Track and report production status for defined projects and schedules

• Exposure to ERP systems and materials data management
• Understanding of inventory planning and procurement processes
• Experience supporting compliance-related supply chain initiatives

Manufacturing Intern

Reporting to: Production

Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Intern will support shop floor operations and continuous improvement initiatives by assisting with documentation, process analysis, and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) activities. This role provides hands-on experience in lean manufacturing, process improvement, and production systems.

Projects & Responsibilities:

• Assist with documenting storage locations and updating floor maps to support 6S initiatives and improve material flow
• Support the development and ongoing maintenance of strip templates
• Provide fixture support by inventorying existing fixtures and assisting in the development of preventive maintenance (PM), replacement plans, and additional fixture requirements
• Conduct time studies to support a modular MES approach and process optimization
• Assist with MES setup tasks and system configuration
• Participate in Value Stream Mapping activities to identify waste and improvement opportunities
• Support P-FMEA and Control Plan development for one defined process or work area

Learning Outcomes:

• Exposure to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
• Hands-on experience with MES tools and shop floor data collection
• Understanding of process documentation, risk analysis, and quality planning
• Collaboration with operations, engineering, and quality teams

IT Systems Intern

Reporting to: IT

Position Overview:
The IT Systems Intern supports day-to-day information technology operations by assisting with hardware builds, troubleshooting help desk tickets, and resolving employee IT harwar5e concerns. This role provides hands on exposure to enterprise IT systems, end-user support, and technical problems solving in a professional environment.

Projects & Responsibilities:

• Build, configure, and deploy desktop and laptop hardware for new and existing employees
• Troubleshoot and resolve help desk tickets related to hardware, peripherals, and basic software issues
• Assist with inventory management of IT equipment and accessories
• Support basic network connectivity and system access issues
• Document troubleshooting steps and contribute to IT knowledge base resources
• Work alongside IT staff to support system upgrades and maintenance activities

Learning Outcomes:

• Gain hands-on experience with corporate IT infrastructure and hardware systems
• Develop foundational troubleshooting and customer support skills
• Learn ticketing systems, IT workflows, and best practices for end-user support
• Understand cybersecurity awareness and IT compliance fundamentals

Product Marketing Intern

Reporting to: Marketing

Position Overview:
The Product Marketing Intern supports commercial and pricing activities by reviewing quote activity, analyzing cost models, and assisting with product pricing decisions. This role provides exposure to product marketing strategy, competitive analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, and sales teams.

Projects & Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze customer quote activity to identify pricing trends and opportunities
• Assist in building and maintaining product cost models
• Support pricing strategy development across product families
• Conduct basic market and competitive research
• Collaborate with product marketing and engineering teams to understand product value propositions
• Prepare reports and summaries to support pricing and product decisions

Learning Outcomes:

• Develop an understanding of product marketing and pricing strategy
• Learn how cost, market dynamics, and competition influence pricing decisions
• Gain experience working with cost models and business analytics tools
• Build cross-functional communication skills in a manufacturing environment

Design Engineering Intern

Reporting to: Design Engineering

Position Overview:
The Design Engineering Intern supports product development by learning core design principles and applying them to active engineering projects. This position provides hands-on product training and exposure to real-world design challenges.

Projects & Responsibilities

• Learn basic engineering design principles and industry standards
• Apply design concepts to active product development initiatives
• Assist engineers with design documentation, drawings, and specifications
• Participate in design reviews and engineering discussions
• Support hands-on product training and testing activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand design-for-manufacture considerations

Learning Outcomes

• Gain practical experience applying engineering theory to real-world products
• Develop familiarity with design tools, documentation, and engineering workflows
• Learn how engineering decisions impact manufacturing, cost, and quality
• Build problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
• Gain exposure to product lifecycle development from concept to production
