The Role
Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Programmer Analyst to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.
The key responsibilities of this Programmer Analyst include, but are not limited to:
- Code, tests and implement highly complex programs and embedded jobs
- Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs
- Prepares detailed specifications from user requirements which programs are developed and coded.
- Creates appropriate documentation from work programming assignments
- Gathers information from production systems, analyze user requirements to develop appropriate implementation schedules
- Works with user to resolve issues and validate programming requirements within their areas of responsibility
- Conducts peer reviews as part of separation of duties controls
- Member of the department on-call team

The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Programmer Analyst at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:
- Bachelor Degree in computer science and 3 years' experience or equivalent of years of software development experience
- 2 – 5 years' experience with high level programming languages, i.e. COBOL, RPG
- Proficient with MS development tools and platforms
- Understanding of diverse applications including C#, HTML and CL
- Experience with network analytics tools
- Experience designing and developing large scale enterprise projects
- Strong programming skills
- Strong business solution skills
- Strong Analytical skills for design, creation and testing of applications and system flows
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
- Good leadership skills to guide and mentor those less experienced in areas of responsibility
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with strict deadlines
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members, support personnel and customers
