The RoleAmphenol Military High Speed Operations is seeking anElectrical Engineerto work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.The key responsibilities of this Electrical Engineer include, but are not limited to:Develops product designs and/or test methodsPerforms or defines complex tests for evaluation of product, equipment or processesWorks independently in planning and coordinating resources necessary to complete assignmentsMay assist with creating major product presentationsReviews and analyzes a variety of data to determine requirements for meeting engineering objectivesInteracts independently with customers, vendors, and Amphenol personnel on significant design, process or evaluation issuesMay direct other employeesCoordinates and provides support to other departments within the CompanyLocationSidney, NY30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NYSalary: $62,354 - $85,000The PersonThe key skills and qualities of a at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:Bachelor's Degree in related engineering discipline or equivalent education and experienceExperience with Computer-Aided Design (Mentor Graphics PADS or equivalent) requiredBackground with fiber optic communication preferredFamiliarity with C, C#, FPGA, or python software preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office requiredIs innovative and demonstrates significant ingenuity in problem solving and suggesting plans of actionProlonged periods of sitting and computer workWork collaboratively with others on the design engineering team to accomplish required tasks to support the interests of the businessAbility to maintain dedicated focus on intricate details of engineering designsWillingness to contribute extra effort in support of critical business opportunities
