2027 Summer Internships

The Role -

Amphenol Aerospace is seeking Summer Interns to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.

The internship pays $20/hour, and the hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (EST).

The internship will run from May through August.

Location -

• Sidney, NY
  • 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY
  • 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY

The diverse internship program features positions in multiple fields available to several different majors and degree programs. 

Accounting/Finance

• Applicable Majors – Accounting/Finance
• Knowledge/Skills – Microsoft Office, financial/managerial accounting  

Engineering

• Applicable Majors – Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Technology
• Knowledge/Skills – CREO, SolidWorks, CAD modelling/drawing, drafting, firm grasp of basic engineering tools (statics, etc.), 3d printing experience preferred (not required), PCB design, circuit modelling

Information Technology Programming / Systems

• Applicable Majors – General IT, IT Programming, IT Operations, Computer Science
• Knowledge/Skills – Programming, MS Power Tools, SQL, C#, JavaScript, basic IT troubleshooting, familiar with Microsoft Windows OS 11 & Office 365

Manufacturing Quality Engineering

• Applicable Majors – Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electromechanical Engineering
• Knowledge/Skills – Blueprint reading, gage reading, GD&T, manufacturing (lathe, mill, press, plating)

Marketing

• Applicable Majors – Business, Economics
• Knowledge/Skills – Microsoft Office proficiency, ability to organize, analyze, and interpret business data

Marketing Communications

• Applicable Majors – Communications, Media Arts, Graphic Design, TV & Radio Journalism, Marketing
• Knowledge/Skills – Adobe Creative Cloud, Indesign, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, photo and video camera knowledge, Keyshot, Adobe Express

Materials Lab

• Applicable Majors – Materials, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge/Skills – Microsoft Office, programming systems, comfortable working in a lab environment and with testing

Operations

• Applicable Majors – Business Management
• Knowledge/Skills – Data collection, problem solving, Lean Manufacturing, Microsoft Office, CAD

Process Engineering

• Applicable Majors – Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Automation Engineering
• Knowledge/Skills – Microsoft Office, ability to work with various stakeholders

Purchasing

• Applicable Majors – Business Administration, Supply Chain
• Knowledge/Skills – Microsoft Office

Quality Compliance / Engineering

• Applicable Majors – Quality, Business Management or Administration, Supply Chain, or Logistics Management
• Knowledge/Skills – Microsoft Office

Test Lab

• Applicable Majors – Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering
• Knowledge/Skills – Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, chemistry
