What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Analyst position at Amphastar Pharmaceuticals Inc.?
The Accounts Receivable Analyst performs all aspects of Accounts Receivable (A/R) function including credit, collection, review and analysis of assigned customer accounts and aging, and preparation of assigned month-end reports and gross-to-net (GTN) accounting calculations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Review and maintain customer accounts including a major wholesaler; work directly with assigned customers and coordinate closely with other departments to resolve open discrepancies.
- Interact with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to help account for foreign Sales and A/R transactions.
- Prepare and analyze month-end schedules and reports including calculation and accounting for assigned sales deductions and gross-to-net (GTN) revenue allowances.
- Provide support for internal and external audit requests, SOX control compliance, and outside/government data reporting requirements.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting/Finance or related field; or High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least one to three years of related A/R experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical and teamwork skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Strong Excel knowledge (preferred)

Amphastar reports payments and other transfers of value to health care providers as required by federal and state transparency laws and implementing regulations. These laws and regulations require Amphastar to provide government agencies with information such as a health care provider’s name, address and the type of payments or other value received, generally for public disclosure.
