What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kids Club Attendat position at Amped Fitness?
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kids Club Attendant to join our team. This role is essential in providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children while their parents participate in activities. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with children and have experience in childcare settings, ensuring that each child receives the attention and care they need. Our Kids Club Team Members are the first face they see when they come into the kids club room. Creating an unforgettable experience for our current members and future members and their children. Your top priority is the safety of the children while they are in your care. Kids Club is an optional amenity that members can use within the hours of 9 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 8 pm Monday through Friday and 9 am to 1 pm Saturdays and Sundays.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Welcome, greet, and interact with all members, prospects, guests, and children who come into the Kids Club
- Supervise and interact with children in a safe and compassionate manner
- Engage with children consistently through activities while prioritizing safety in the Kids Club and administering first aid to children as needed
- Conduct and maintain daily attendance records and maintain accurate records of the children
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians
- Create a positive and nurturing environment for children
- Assist and perform in all aspects of Kids Club operations, including child sign-ups, signing children in and out, contacting members when necessary, addressing guardian concerns, sanitizing, computer documentation, and etc...
- Provide quality care for children in a defined area of the gym for the attending members
- Maintaining the defined area in all aspects
Experience
- Previous experience with childcare or other related fields
- Ability to build rapport with children and their parents
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Genuine love for and interest in working with children
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to kneel, get up and down off the floor, and pick up babies and toddlers up to 50 lbs
