- Responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure. Includes the implementation and design of hardware and software. Monitors the performance of systems.
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

- Building servers at each layer of the stack on industry-standard operating systems with software and various tools.

- Experience building highly available servers end to end.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end stack including tools and agents.
- Ability to coordinate technical experts to complete work.
- Ability to problem solve and quickly switch tasks.
- Ability to oversee a large number of server builds in various stages.

- Experience with IBM AIX, Linux, Websphere, and Oracle.
