AMPCO METAL in Sturtevant, WI is currently seeking a Business Development Manager. The position will be full-time and offer the ability to travel across North America.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
- Prospect and penetrate target accounts within injection molding, aerospace, defense (DoD), and industrial manufacturing markets
- Develop and execute a territory growth strategy focused on new customer acquisition
- Build a robust pipeline through cold outreach, referrals, site visits, and industry networking
- Consistently meet or exceed new business and revenue growth targets
- Conduct on-site evaluations and face-to-face meetings to uncover application challenges
- Educate customers on material performance advantages (wear, strength, thermal conductivity, etc.)
- Translate technical requirements into tailored solutions that differentiate AMPCO in the market
- Maintain and grow a healthy pipeline in HubSpot CRM, with clear visibility to opportunities and next steps
- Monitor competitors, market trends, and customer needs to proactively identify new opportunities
- Develop and execute strategic action plans to expand AMPCO’s footprint in key industries
- Conduct post-sale follow-ups to ensure satisfaction and drive additional sales opportunities
- Expand relationships within accounts by identifying new applications and stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery
- Partner with Sales Leadership to refine territory strategy and growth initiatives
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Engineering to support customer needs
- Actively build expertise in AMPCO products, applications, and industry trends
- Provide regular feedback from the field on market conditions and customer demands
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business and/or three (3) to five (5) years of experience in metals manufacturing, metal machining, other metals manufacturing environment, or B2B industrial sales environment preferred.
- High Comfort level in initiating conversations and a well-developed phone presence is a must
- A self-starter with a can-do attitude
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Ability to understand basic mechanical applications and interpret engineering drawings and photos.
- Ability to travel approximately 75% within North America. Some travel to Europe may be required for initial training and periodic sales conferences
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point) and CRM software programs
Salary : $60,000
