Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently while ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Diagnose plumbing issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications related to plumbing systems.
- Utilize CAD software for drafting plumbing layouts and system designs.
- Assemble components using mechanical design principles to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on the job site.
Skills
- Proficient in mechanical design with experience in CAD software such as Creo, Revit, or SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of system design principles related to plumbing engineering.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) practices.
- Ability to draft detailed plans and schematics for plumbing installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
