Maintenance Technician
Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician Job Description –
Responsibilities : Repair and maintain a variety of heavy/light machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment; Repair and maintain the buildings and grounds; Accountable for the quality and productivity of the equipment; Provide a safe and healthy work place.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
(1) Working In a safe manner: achieving a high level of machine and facility safety and ensure OSHA compliance.
(2) Daily monitoring of equipment. buildings and grounds
(3) Keeping the equipment operating at a high level of quality and productivity
(4) Performing periodic maintenance and planned repairs
(5) Responding to breakdowns and time constraints in a prompt and effective manner
(6) Maintain an orderly maintenance shop
(7) Identify need for and recommend repair and/or replacement
(8) Working with & interacting with all machine and forklift operators
(9) Meeting and planning with management when needed
Maintenance Skills: Including but not limited to:
(1) Electrical knowledge and experience in high voltage 480V, three phase electricity, and low voltage electricity to include equipment installation and troubleshooting required.
(2) Electrical wiring, maintaining equipment control panels/switches
(3) Experience in metal fabrication & Welding desirable.
(4) Experience in Programmable Controls and Electronic Logic systems.
(5) Compressors, hydraulics motors, hoses and couplings
(6) Bearings/drive systems
(7) Carpentry
Capabilities: Including but not limited to:
(1) Drive a forklift and pick-up truck
(2) Climb ladders
(3) Operate a variety of hand tools and power tools
(4) Plan and manage jobs and projects
(5) Verbal communication, process improvement, organization, multi-tasking, problem solving, presenting technical information, analyzing information, decision making
