$16-$18/hr, non-exempt

This is an entry-level position designed for someone eager to build a career in the event industry. A degree is required in related fields such as hospitality management, public relations, business, marketing, communications, event management.

No prior event industry experience is required—we will provide training. What matters most is your attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. They enjoy working with people, aren't afraid to pick up the phone and connect with new and existing clients, and have a genuine interest in creating memorable experiences. This role combines elements of client service, event design, project coordination, and business development, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow into a well-rounded event professional.

What to Expect:

* Participate in client consultations to understand event goals, budgets, and creative direction.

* Assist in the development of event concepts, mood boards, presentations, and design materials.

* Support the creation of floor plans, renderings, and visual presentations using company design tools and software.

* Research and source furnishings, décor, lighting, graphics, and specialty items for client projects.

* Help prepare design proposals and client presentations.

* Stay informed of industry trends, products, and event best practices.

* Collaborate with senior team members to bring creative concepts to life.

Sales & Relationship Development

* Build relationships with prospective and existing clients through phone calls, emails, networking, and follow-up communications.

* Support business development efforts by researching prospects and assisting with outreach initiatives.

* Participate in client meetings and presentations.

* Assist in the preparation of proposals, estimates, and sales materials.

* Provide exceptional customer service throughout the client experience.

* Serve as a professional representative of Ampa Events in interactions with clients, vendors, and industry partners.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Project Coordination & Event Execution

* Assist with project planning, timelines, and project documentation.

* Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to support successful event execution.

* Help track project details and ensure deliverables remain on schedule.

* Assist with event installations, setup, and breakdown as needed.

* Support on-site event execution and help troubleshoot challenges as they arise.

* Follow company safety procedures and event production standards.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation

* Bachelor's degree required

Skills & Experience

* No prior event industry experience required; training will be provided

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Comfortable speaking with clients and prospects by phone, email, and in person

* Highly organized with strong attention to detail

* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace

* Experience with design software, CRM systems, or event planning tools is a plus, but not required
