Position: Probation Case Manager
Probation Case Managers supervise low- to medium-risk individuals assigned to Private Probation, Electronic (ankle) Monitoring, and Drug Testing. AMP is expanding and currently hiring for several locations across Utah (Logan, Brigham City, Ogden, Farmington, Sandy, Tooele, St. George). Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
- Requirements: A clean criminal history and a bachelor’s degree are mandatory.
- Preferred experience: Previous probation experience or experience in a related field.
- Pay: $17–$20 per hour, based on experience. Additional monthly bonuses may be available. Bilingual (Spanish) speakers may be eligible for additional compensation.
Responsibilities Include:
- Serving as both an investigative specialist for sentencing and a supervision specialist during probation
- Assisting the Court by gathering information, preparing reports, and offering informed recommendations
- Conducting investigations on defendants, including offense details, criminal history, and personal/family background
- Analyzing collected information and submitting written reports to the Court
- Preparing violation reports when offenders fail to comply with supervision requirements
- Ensuring court-ordered conditions are followed
- Developing individualized supervision and treatment plans
- Supervising offenders in the community, which may involve travel to rural, reservation, or urban areas
- Making referrals to counseling and community services and helping establish community resources
- Maintaining ongoing contact with clients and addressing family concerns
- Installing, educating on, and removing electronic monitoring devices
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, criminology, psychology, sociology, human relations, business/public administration, or a related field — OR four years of specialized or case management experience.
