Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Apprentice to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites, including commercial and industrial projects.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support accurate installations.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform wiring, conduit bending, and component assembly tasks.
- Follow strict electrical safety procedures in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code) and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Support the testing of electrical circuits using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations related to low voltage, high voltage, and electrical blueprint reading.
Experience
- Prior experience or exposure to industrial or commercial electrician environments is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with construction site procedures, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and electrical blueprint reading is advantageous.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures, NFPA 70 compliance standards, and NEC guidelines is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment is a plus.
- Construction site experience involving framing carpentry or general construction activities will be considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
