Apartment Management Professionals, LLC (AMP Residential) is seeking to hire a Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team at Central Park Apartments! This apartment community has 402 units and is located in Okemos, MI.

The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the property in a safe, attractive and comfortable condition. This individual will maintain relationships with other service staff, residents and vendors. Some key responsibilities will include providing the highest level of customer service, make regular inspections of grounds and buildings as part of a preventative maintenance plan, complete service requests and assist with the apartment make-ready process. The Lead Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Prepare vacant apartment homes for occupancy by making any necessary repairs
  • Complete work orders in occupied homes while providing fast, friendly service
  • Assists in organization and assignment of service work orders at the Maintenance Supervisor's direction
  • Follow preventive maintenance guidelines
  • Maintain property grounds
  • HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance and all other service requests
  • Team work to achieve property goals
  • Follow safety procedures
  • Assists in maintaining inventory, required company logs, orderliness, and safety of tools, equipment, supplies and maintenance shop
  • Assists with mentoring and training other grounds and maintenance technicians at the Maintenance Supervisor's direction
  • 2-3 years of multifamily maintenance experience required
  • Hard worker who is team oriented and has a positive attitude
  • Strong problem solving skills and is detail oriented
  • Leadership experience
  • Valid Driver's License with auto insurance
  • EPA Certification preferred, will be required to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Experience with pools is a plus, CPO preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Must be available after hours and weekends for on-call responsibilities (rotated schedule)
