Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain patient medical records in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of medical records by reviewing documents for proper documentation.
- Process intake requests for medical records from patients, healthcare providers, and other authorized entities.
- Assist in the training of new staff on medical record management procedures and systems.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely access to patient information while maintaining confidentiality.
- Perform regular audits of medical records to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in health information management or related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of medical records management practices.
- Experience Home Health
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with patients and healthcare staff professionally.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
