Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and service.
- Help train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and handling protocols.
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment, including knives and other culinary tools.
- Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or food service environment.
