Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. This role requires a strong background in food preparation and service, along with excellent leadership skills to help guide our kitchen staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and service.
  • Help train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and handling protocols.
  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment, including knives and other culinary tools.
  • Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or food service environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
  • A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
