Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools according to food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed, including organizing supplies and handling ingredients safely
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces regularly in compliance with sanitation standards
- Support food handling and bussing duties by clearing tables, transporting dirty dishes to the dish area, and ensuring a tidy dining environment
- Follow proper manual handling techniques to lift heavy pots, trays, and cleaning supplies safely without risking injury
- Adhere strictly to kitchen health and safety standards to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment
- Operate kitchen equipment responsibly while observing all food safety management protocols
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided for motivated candidates
