Concrete Finisher Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist with various concrete-related tasks, ensuring the successful completion of high-quality concrete projects. Duties

• Assist with the preparation and placement of concrete using hand tools, power tools, and concrete mixers to ensure proper consistency and flow.
• Support rebar installation and layout according to schematics and blueprints, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with safety standards.
• Help with form setting, framing, and pouring concrete for various structures including floors, walls, sidewalks, and decorative hardscape features.
• Operate heavy equipment such as concrete pumps and mixers safely and efficiently to facilitate project progress.
• Perform finishing tasks such as troweling, smoothing, caulking, and sealing concrete surfaces to achieve desired textures and appearances.
• Assist with masonry work including stucco, tile laying, flooring installation, and restoration projects as needed.
• Use hand tools like trowels, floats, levels, saws, drills, and other construction tools to complete assigned tasks accurately.
• Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications; interpret construction drawings for precise execution.
• Support demolition or renovation activities by removing old materials and preparing surfaces for new work.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols on-site.

Experience

• Prior experience working on construction sites with a focus on concrete finishing or related trades is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is valued.
• Knowledge of rebar installation, form setting, masonry techniques (stucco, tile laying), and heavy equipment operation is advantageous.
• Ability to read blueprints or schematics accurately; experience in interpreting technical drawings is beneficial.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, pumps, scaffolding or formwork systems is ideal.
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during finishing tasks.
• Strong understanding of safety standards related to construction sites including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Pay: $25.20 - $30.35 per hour
