Cashier/Customer Service

Job Summary
Amoco is seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while handling transactions accurately and efficiently. This role involves operating the Point of Sale (POS) system, managing cash handling, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all customers. The Cashier will also assist with merchandising and stocking duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate the POS system to process customer transactions quickly and accurately
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues
• Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance sales opportunities
• Assist in merchandising efforts by organizing product displays and maintaining stock levels
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about new items or promotions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and surrounding displays
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing
• Supervising experience is a plus for potential leadership opportunities within the team
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance communication with diverse customers
• Strong communication skills, phone etiquette, and customer service orientation are essential
• Experience in grocery store environments is advantageous but not mandatory
