Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their needs in a courteous, professional manner
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Upsell products such as snacks, beverages, or car accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales
• Maintain clean and organized merchandising displays; stock shelves regularly to ensure product availability
• Conduct product demos when applicable, showcasing new or promoted items to customers
• Enforce phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone
• Assist with inventory management by stocking supplies, conducting stock counts, and reporting low inventory levels

Requirements

• Must have a valid drivers license
• Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a wider customer base effectively
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing registers at shift end
• Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures is advantageous
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
• Supervising experience or leadership qualities are beneficial for potential growth opportunities
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail math enhances performance in this role
