What are the responsibilities and job description for the Skilled Nursing position at AMN Healthcare?
Skilled nursing care is a high level of medical care that must be provided by trained individuals, such as registered nurses (RNs) and physical, speech, and occupational therapists. These services can be necessary over the short term for rehabilitation from an illness or injury, or they may be required over the long term for patients who need care on a frequent or around-the-clock basis due to a chronic medical condition. Examples of skilled nursing services include wound care, intravenous (IV) therapy, injections, physical therapy, and monitoring of vital signs and medical equipment.
**Per DON: We are looking for an RN Mon- Friday to assist with our 20 bed Sub-Acute Rehab Unit on the 3p-11p shift.
The RN on this shift will complete assessments for new patients admitted to our 20 bed rehab unit. The majority of the tasks for new admissions is completed on the 7am-3pm shift but we do have admissions arrive after 3 that will need assessments completed, orders checked for accuracy, vital signs, orientation to their surroundings, etc. There is also an RN house supervisor on Mon- Friday for additional support when needed.
