Position Summary
Remote Inpatient Clinical Documentation Specialist
POSITION DUTIES
Summary of Responsibility
The CDI Specialist is responsible for improving the overall quality, completeness and accuracy of clinical documentation in the patient medical record. This role uses clinical and coding knowledge to conduct concurrent and retrospective chart reviews, ensuring documentation accurately reflects the patient severity of illness (SOl), risk of mortality (ROM), complexity of care, and supports accurate reporting of quality metrics, reimbursement and hospital outcomes. This position involves extensive collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, coding and other healthcare professionals
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree and minimum 5 years experience in relevant field in large hospital setting. Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist(CCDS) or Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP)
ACDIS or AHIMA CDI
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT
3-6 months
SHIFT / HOURS PER WEEK
M-F, hours flexible
SYSTEMS
Epic, 3M360 & Faircode Shop. Minimum Experience In Epic/3M360
