We are actively seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Trauma Surgery Physician for a long-term locum tenens assignment with one of our major healthcare partners in Colorado Springs, CO.
This opportunity supports a high-acuity environment providing 24-hour trauma call coverage for a Level III Trauma setting. Ideal for physicians who are comfortable handling complex orthopedic trauma cases with minimal supervision.
Position Highlights- Schedule: 24-hour call shifts
- Setting: Inpatient, Emergency Department, Trauma Call
- Trauma Level: III
- Support Staff: X-ray Techs, RNs, Lab Techs
- EMR: Epic
- Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric Orthopedic Trauma
- Coverage Need: Ongoing dates; multiple upcoming call blocks available
- Credentialing: Fast turnaround — approximately 0–30 days
- Orientation: Required (details provided during onboarding)
- Board Certified Orthopedic Surgery or Truly Board Eligible (0–5 years)
- Active CO License OR Active IMLC (LOQ required at submission)
- Active DEA (required for credentialing)
- Active BLS
- Clean malpractice & background
- Must be available for multiple dates listed and able to complete EMR training
- Must follow travel and lodging guidelines outlined by the client
- Provide 24-hour Orthopedic Trauma Call Coverage
- Manage acute trauma cases, fractures, and emergent surgical needs
- Coordinate patient care with facility team members
- Ensure smooth transitions when handing off to the next on-call provider
- Travel lodging support available
- Local candidates highly preferred, but not required
