What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) position at AMN Healthcare?
LPN’s are assistants to physicians and registered nurses and take care of basic nursing duties. Duties often included taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medication, ensuring patient comfort, and reporting the status of their patients to the nurses. The overall function of a licensed practical nurse is to ensure patient comfort and safety. LPN/LVN’s generally work at any location an RN works such as: hospital, nursing homes, long term care facilities or clinic.
Education/Requirements:
***MUST HAVE 2 YEARS OF EXP, No minimum hours or guarantees, every other weekend, Once credentialed, agency or contractor can work with facility on scheduling, Patient Ratios: 6:1 or 7:1
Education/Requirements:
- High School education is required along with completion of a formal training program.
- Must pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX)
