What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interventional Radiology Nurse (IR RN) position at AMN Healthcare?
IR Nurses provides critical nursing care to the cardiac patient while assisting the Interventional Radiologist, Vascular Surgeon, and Endovascular Neurosurgeon in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures. IR Nurses closely monitor the patient for complications, administers medications including moderate sedation, documents the procedure, and also may circulate or scrub into procedures. IR nurses also play an important role in communication and patient education both pre and post operatively. IR nurses typically work in the hospital setting.

Education/Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): 4-Year Education
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN): 2-Year Education
- You must earn an ADN or BSN degree and pass the NCLEX to apply for a license as a RN.
- RN‘s can only work with an active state license.
