Interim NICU Nurse Manager Needed in Madison, WI!
The Position
- An Interim NICU Nurse Manager is needed to lead the department during a leadership transition and union negotiations.
- Reporting to the Director of Perinatal Services.
- Key responsibilities include managing daily NICU operations, mentoring new leadership staff, stabilizing staffing processes, and supporting a culturally resilient environment.
- The ideal candidate will have strong neonatal/critical care experience, proven leadership and decision-making skills, and the ability to inspire confidence while addressing complex emotional and operational challenges. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication and union negotiation skills will be critical.
- Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Active Wisconsin or Compact State Registered Nurse license required.
- Previous healthcare leadership experience required.

Compensation Details
- Compensation Range: $150,000 to $165,000 annually.
- The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
