POSITION SUMMARY HIM Coder IV
POSITION DUTIES The Inpatient Coder is responsible for reviewing medical records and assigning accurate ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on clinical documentation and physician orders.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent required, *Remote - can work in any state except Alaska, Hawaii, Washington and California *Per Mgr.: This position is for an Inpatient acute care hospital coder ONLY
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate or Bachelor Degree in Health Information or in Healthcare related field preferred
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT 13 weeks
SHIFT / HOURS PER WEEK 8hr Days / Tues-Sat or Sun-Thurs 40 hours per week
SYSTEMS EPIC, 3M encoder
