What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist (Cath Lab Tech) position at AMN Healthcare?
A Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technologist works in a Cardiac Cath lab and performs very complex procedures, including stent implants, cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators and other tests to diagnose heart disease. They take emergency calls and participate in saving the lives of those who are having a heart attack. Cath Lab Technicians are vital team members who assist doctors during invasive cardiovascular procedures such as angioplasty, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology. Cath Lab Tech’s generally work in a hospital setting.
Education/Requirements:
***Urgent --- Cath lab techs that are Rad Techs | 8 hour shift | ARRT & CRT certf req'd |Unit: Cath Lab/IR (combo lab) | on call shifts 3:30pm - 7:00am
Education/Requirements:
- · High School education is required, some states also require the completion of a certificate program.
- · Completion of EKG course
- · ACLS Certification is preferred but not always required.
