Travel Registered Nurse Emergency Room jobs in Birmingham, AL let you work in a fast-paced hospital environment with high acuity and diverse patient populations. You will triage, assess, and treat patients with urgent medical needs, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and document in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, an active Alabama RN license or compact license, Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications, and at least 2 years of recent emergency room nursing experience. Experience with Cerner EMR systems is required if starting before July 25, 2026.
Skills in rapid assessment, critical thinking, and strong communication are valuable. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification and travel nursing experience are recommended.
