VP of Finance

Northern Light Health seeks a Vice President of Finance for Eastern Maine Medical Center (EMMC), its flagship tertiary medical center in Bangor, Maine. This senior finance leader will partner with executive, clinical, physician, and operational teams to improve performance, support strategic decisions, and help advance long-term sustainability.
The Role
Reporting jointly to the System CFO and the President of EMMC, this leader will serve as the senior finance executive for the medical center within a matrixed health system environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong healthcare finance leadership experience, a track record of performance improvement, and the ability to translate financial insight into clear operational action.
Key priorities include financial performance improvement, strong partnership with operational and clinical leaders, and translating data into action across the organization.

The Organization
Eastern Maine Medical Center is Northern Light Health’s 324-bed flagship tertiary medical center and a leading provider of specialty, critical, and primary care services across Maine. EMMC embraces the values of Integrity, Respect, Compassion, and Accountability and was recently recognized by both CMS and Forbes as the only 5-Star hospital in Maine and received a Gold Seal of Accreditation by The Joint Commission for commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Northern Light Health delivers high-quality care from Portland to Presque Isle and from Blue Hill to Greenville. The $2.2 billion system is comprised of nine member hospitals with 944 licensed beds, a single physician-led medical group, eight nursing homes with 585 long-term beds, five emergency transport members, a joint venture for LifeFlight of Maine, the state’s only air ambulance, 37 primary care locations, a Level III NICU, and a Verified Level II Trauma Center.
