The Position
- The Director of Medical Staff Services will oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital’s credentialing team, ensuring regulatory and institutional compliance with all state and organizational requirements.
- This role will support the operations for three hospitals within the Asante Health System.
- This leader will be responsible for modernizing MDStaff operations with the ultimate goal of transitioning the organization into a unified single medical staff model. They will standardize and streamline operational processes while updating and revitalizing outdated bylaws.
- The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and develop staff while engaging in candid conversations that inspire meaningful change. A modern way of thinking, along with a proactive communication style and a solutions-oriented mindset, will be essential to success.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Provider Enrollment Specialist Certification (or ability to obtain within one year of hire) and Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) certification required.
- A minimum of five years’ experience as a manager or credentialing staff coordinator is required.
