What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner - Cell Therapy Clinical position at AMN Healthcare and Careers?
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Vonda Lee Cell Therapy Program and will support the nocturnist coverage in the Craycroft Unit.
The Nurse Practitioner functions in the roles of expert practitioner, consultant, educator, patient advocate, care coordinator and researcher within a specialized area of practice.
- Full-Time, Exempt
- $71.40-$113.75 per hour
- Rotating schedule to include evenings and nights
- 1 year Hematology/Oncology/Cell Therapy experience required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 1 year of Hematology/Oncology and/or Cell Therapy experience is required
- Minimum 5 years increasingly responsible experience which demonstrates professional working knowledge of nursing theory and practice, with competence in physical assessments, different diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology and management of acute and chronic pediatric problems preferred
- Experience in pediatrics, surgery and/or clinic setting a plus
- Bilingual skills desirable
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program and Master’s degree in nursing required
- Active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN)
- Active California Nurse Practitioner license (NP) – Must successfully complete the credentialing process through the Medical Staff office via CIDP for the appropriate scope of practice, written standardized protocols and furnishing privileges
- Nurse Practitioner National Certification (NP-C) within six (6) months of hire or transfer into position
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
- PALS within 12 months of hire or transfer into position
- ACLS within 12 months of hire or transfer into position
