This Physical Therapist opportunity is based in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting in Greeneville, Tennessee, a welcoming East Tennessee community known for its historic charm, mountain backdrops, and relaxed, family-friendly lifestyle. A typical day in this role includes evaluating new admissions, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions to help patients regain function, mobility, and independence. You will provide therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, transfer and mobility training, and patient and family education. You will collaborate closely with nursing, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and social services, and you may participate in interdisciplinary care conferences to update goals and discharge planning. Treatment is generally provided in a dedicated therapy gym with access to standard rehab equipment and assistive devices, as well as in patient rooms and functional areas throughout the facility to simulate real-life tasks. Patient ratios are structured to allow for meaningful one-on-one time, thorough assessments, and high-quality documentation while maintaining a manageable daily caseload appropriate for a skilled nursing environment. Physical Therapists in this setting typically work full-time schedules with daytime hours and the potential for some weekend or holiday rotation to support consistent patient care. Your work will focus on helping patients return to their highest level of function, whether their goal is to return home, transition to a lower level of care, or maximize independence within the facility.
