Physical Therapist - Outpatient - (PT)

This 13-week temp-to-direct Physical Therapist opportunity is based in Jersey City, New Jersey, a vibrant, fast-growing urban community located directly across the Hudson River from Manhattan. Jersey City offers a dynamic blend of waterfront living, historic neighborhoods, and modern development, giving you access to big-city amenities with a more relaxed and accessible feel. The city is known for its stunning views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty, an ever-expanding restaurant and café scene, and a rich cultural mix reflected in local festivals, markets, and community events. Enjoy easy access to parks and green spaces, including Liberty State Park with its miles of walking and biking paths and sweeping harbor views, as well as nearby arts districts, galleries, and performance venues. With direct PATH train connections and multiple ferry options, commuting to and from New York City and other parts of New Jersey is straightforward and convenient. The position is in an outpatient physical therapy setting focused on general orthopedics, offering a consistent patient flow and a strong emphasis on quality, evidence-based care. You will join a professional, collaborative team of rehabilitation specialists who value clinical excellence, communication, and patient satisfaction. The environment is supportive of ongoing skill development and welcomes clinicians who are motivated to refine their orthopedic and outpatient practice. You will work standard daytime hours on a 5x8 schedule, totaling 40 hours per week, providing a predictable routine and a stable work-life balance without on-call responsibilities. A typical day will include performing comprehensive evaluations, designing and progressing individualized treatment plans, and providing hands-on care and therapeutic exercise to a primarily orthopedic caseload. Common diagnoses may include post-operative conditions, sprains and strains, degenerative joint issues, work-related injuries, and general musculoskeletal impairments. You will be responsible for timely and accurate documentation in the facility’s EMR system, coordinating care with referring providers, and educating patients and families on home programs and long-term self-management strategies. Patient scheduling is designed to support both productivity and quality time with each patient, allowing you to build rapport and focus on meaningful outcomes. This role is well suited for Physical Therapists who enjoy a busy yet supportive outpatient environment, appreciate the professional stimulation of working in a diverse urban community, and want to experience all that the Jersey City and greater New York metropolitan area have to offer.
