The Sales Director is a senior leadership role accountable for revenue growth, margin performance, and sales execution across D-Ash Industrial’s portfolio of brands; AML, Ashburn, and Fluid Service Technologies. The Director of Sales sets national pricing strategy in partnership with leadership, establishes disciplined forecasting and pipeline management practices, and ensures consistent sales execution across regions, channels, and market segments. This role directly influences topline growth, profitability, and long-term market positioning for the organization’s chemical manufacturing, industrial fluids, and service-based solution offerings.
The Director of Sales leads geographically dispersed teams, aligns sales execution with operational capacity, and serves as a key partner to executive leadership in shaping growth strategy. The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic vision, disciplined execution, and hands-on leadership experience in industrial or chemical markets. What You Will Be Doing - Core Responsibilities
Sales Strategy, Planning & Growth
- Develop and execute a national sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives, operational capabilities, and market opportunities.
- Define and optimize go-to-market strategies including direct sales, distributor/channel partners, strategic accounts, and program-based selling.
- Establish revenue targets, margin expectations, and forecasting discipline across all sales teams.
- Identify and prioritize new markets, verticals, and customer segments for expansion.
Sales Team Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead, coach, and develop regional sales leaders, account managers, and sales representatives nationwide.
- Build scalable sales structures, territories, and coverage models to support growth.
- Set clear performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability standards.
- Oversee recruiting, onboarding, training, and professional development for the sales organization.
Customer & Market Leadership
- Engage directly with key strategic customers and national accounts.
- Lead complex negotiations, long-term agreements, and pricing strategies.
- Ensure the sales team effectively communicates technical value propositions and service capabilities.
- Represent the company in industry forums, customer meetings, and strategic partnerships.
Cross-Functional Alignment & Execution
- Partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Technical, and Finance teams to align sales commitments with production capacity and service delivery.
- Support new product launches, service offerings, and market rollouts.
- Drive pricing discipline, contract compliance, and margin management.
Performance Management, Reporting & CRM Discipline
- Own CRM strategy, pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and reporting discipline.
- Analyze sales data, trends, and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide regular updates, insights, and recommendations to executive leadership.
What Will Make You Successful?
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; business, engineering, chemistry, or related technical discipline strongly preferred.
- 10 years of progressive B2B sales experience, including senior leadership roles with national responsibility.
- Proven success leading multi-region sales teams in industrial, chemical, or manufacturing environments with a field-based sales motion and a mix of direct and distribution channels.
- Demonstrated experience hiring, developing, and managing performance for sales teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing, margin management, and forecasting.
- High proficiency with CRM platforms, sales analytics, and performance dashboards.
